Obituary for Antoinette Budnick
Antoinette Knop Budnick, 86, wife of the late Howard Budnick both longtime residences of
Fountain Hills, Arizona passed away peacefully September 12 th , 2020 surrounded by many who
loved her. Born July 17 th , 1934 in Detroit, Michigan, was the youngest child of Alexander “the
governor” and Antoinette Knop. She was predeceased by her sisters Marie Wenzel, Charlotte
Foreman, and her brothers Jackie, Richard and Billy Knop.
Mrs. Budnick was known as “Toni” by the many friends she made over the years at Catholic
parishes in Warren and Imlay City Michigan, and more recently Ascension and St. Bernard
Catholic churches in the Valley. She served 25 years in the United States Post Office in
Michigan and Arizona, retiring from the Fountain Hills office in 1999.
Howard and Toni Budnick were married July 17 th , 1954 on her twentieth birthday beginning
their 61-year marriage with the blessing of eleven kids. She is survived by sons Paul and his
wife Deb, Tom and his wife Nicole, John and his wife Jen, James and Tim and his wife Valerie.
And her daughters Lynn and her husband Mike, Sue and her husband Roger, Karen, Dianne and
Annie. In addition to her husband Howard she was predeceased by her son August “Gus” and
sons-in-laws Steve and David. Many called her Grandma including Andrea, Stewart, Mathew,
Brandon, Tommy Jr, Mary, Christopher, Emily, Kaylynn, Jacob, Jonathan, Katie, Hannah, Johnny
Rambo, William, Alexis, Benn, Luke, Jack, Alex, Brooke, Paige and Chelsea. Grandkids include
Trinity, Julian, Logan, Lexi, Tommy III, Katie, Dominic, Joe, Alex, Lincoln, Alice, Riley, Siddalee,
Leon and Maris.
A viewing and gathering at Falconer Funeral Home in Gilbert, AZ September 15 th , 2020 between
5PM-8PM. A Catholic Mass at Christ the King Church in Mesa, AZ 10AM September 16 th
followed by burial service at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Mesa, AZ. A wake at the
home of Dr. Paul Budnick and wife Deb for all of those who cared and loved Toni.
