Condolences

Condolence From: Leslie
Condolence: There isn't one day I don't love and think of you Kari. I miss you so very much.

I will love you forever; whatever happens. Till I die and after I die, and when I find my way out of the land of the dead, I'll drift about forever, all my atoms, till I find you again.
I'll be looking for you every moment, every single moment. And when we do find each other again, we'll cling together so tight that nothing and no one'll ever tear us apart. Every atom of me and every atom of you...We'll live in birds and flowers and dragonflies and pin trees and in clouds and in those little specks of light you see floating in sunbeams...And when they use our atoms to make new lives, they won't just be able to take one, they'll have to take two, one of you and one of me, we'll be joined so tight.

Condolence: How very quietly you tiptoed into my world, silently, only a moment you stayed. But what an imprint your footprints left upon my heart. You are my best friend Kari, and I love you.
Favourite times: 1. The Seattle to Arizona trip via WA, OR, NV, UT, then AZ. Had a smashing time in Yosemite girl!
2. Hiking, hiking and more hiking in Arizona. We tried to get all the hikes done in the "60 hikes within 60 miles," of Phoenix book -- think we did maybe 30 between 2007-2008 (not bad)
3. Playing golf with you in 2012 -- geez that was fun & a laugh at the same time -- we sucked!
4. Watching football with you. My team (San Fran) played your team (Baltimore) at the Superbowl --- Hey, you won!
5. Going to the movies with you & having everyone in the theater telling us to "shut up." We always had something to say eh? (at inappropriate times too)
6. Going to an activity party at your mum's apartment in Phoenix (2012) and finding out there was no activity director or person attending to the party? So we became the party coordinators, picture takers, meal servers, wheelchair pushers & elevator operators. My oh my - after all said and done we laughed our heads off in your truck on the way home. What a great day that was Karen. Your mum's pup Dash kept stealing the patient's peanut butter cookies -- LOL.
Miss you lots Karibou, and always will

Condolence: The memorial service was beautiful. Thank you for honoring her life in such a lovely way. She was an amazing woman and helped me navigate some really difficult personal and health issues. I will always be grateful to her. She will not be forgotten. Many blessings and positive energy to your family and all those who loved her.

Condolence: Karen's smile always lit up the room and she was the one you wanted to greet first. It didn't matter how long it had been since you had last seen her, she always remembered, and you could feel she had a genuine interest in you. She put you at ease right away and even though you hadn't seen her in months or years, she made it feel like you had just talked last week. I was a few years younger than Karen and I remember always looking up to Karen and being so intrigued by her stories. Karen had a great laugh...a silly, hearty, infectious laugh. I have many found memories talking, smiling and laughing with Karen.

Condolence: My prayers are with Karen's entire family and all her friends. It's times like these that we question ourselves and God and what is ahead in the great beyond. I pray for peace knowing that we don't have to 'be' good enough. Instead we only have to rest in Him who died for us. May God bless each of you in your journey and in your pain.

Condolence: Karen: To a wonderful person with a big heart. Despite her health problems she always had a huge smile. So glad this past fall she gave me a photo of our softball team playing tournament in Tuscon back in 2004. Once Karen found out I read Tarot cards, she loved to get readings. She would give me a call, Hettich, I'm in the area, can you give me a quick reading. Loved it & will miss her dearly.

Condolence: Karen,
You were a character! I’ll never forget you and I trying to catch Jinx rabbit out in the open desert, who da think we would ever catch that little guy…..well not me, but we did.

We had some great times on the softball field, specifically when you would pull your trickery stunts at home plate to throw the batter off their game. I loved your attempts to get me while doing the hook slide. There are too many priceless moments.

You were a very considerate, gracious and caring person. I will miss you very much!

Condolence: My first memories of Karen was playing softball against her team at Kiwanis Park in Tempe some 20+ years ago. Karen was kind, considerate, had a huge heart, and a great sense of humor. I loved playing on her teams because she was competitive, but always wanted to have fun! When my husband was in the hospital she gave him some religious metals she had and he will always charish them. We love you Karen and will always miss you! Roxie and Mike
