Condolence: On behalf of the family of Gerry (Emmert) Rood, please accept our condolences on the death of Mom's cousin, Vera. Mom loved all of her cousins and cherished memories of childhood visits. Since she was younger than the twins, Vera and Velma always held a Big Girl glamour for her, as well as being innately interesting as twins. When becoming acquainted with a friend from church named "Velma," Mom always had to pause to think "Now is she 'Vera' or 'Velma?'" Since Mom died 6 days before Vera did, she may be telling her that story now. There may be one humdinger of an Emmert reunion going on in Heaven. Best wishes to all of the bereaved.
